Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) are the basic building blocks of physical activity, like running, jumping, throwing, and catching, forming the foundation for more complex sports and movement patterns. It is typically grouped into Locomotor (traveling) Stability (body control), and Object Control (manipulative) skills that develop physical literacy. Mastering FMS in childhood helps kids become confident, competent, and active adults.

Strength & Conditioning (S&C) in GAA is a holistic training approach to develop elite physical attributes for Gaelic games, focusing on making players stronger, faster, more powerful, and resilient to injury, incorporating gym work (strength, power, core), field work (speed, agility, endurance), and periodized plans that adapt to the season's demands (off-season, pre-season, in-season) to build functional fitness for dominating tackles, winning aerials, and sustaining high performance.
